The show that I worked on for the 2012-2013 school year was a devised piece written by a group of designers, actors, writers, musicians, students and faculty, called The Cleverest Thief, modeled after Gone Missing - a piece written by The Civilians, an investigative theatre company in New York City. To learn more about The Civilians and their methods check out their website.... http://www.thecivilians.org/

We spent many hours interviewing people about the things they had lost then proceded to act out and write down their stories. Here is a more in depth look at the process via the dramaturgy blog for BYUarts..... http://4thwalldramaturgy.byu.edu/category/gone-missingcleverest-thief

Gone Missing Poster Design

This project involved many people including many in the film department who help us to create media that we had storyboarded in class. My first assignment was to be a creative writer, then a member of the creative team for the media, and finally, the production stage manager. To watch a show being built from the ground up and helping it get there was an experience that has changed the way I view theatre.
